Registration Process
DO NOT PAY YET!
Registration opens at: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Noon Mountain Time (that's 11am Pacific, 1pm Central, 2pm Eastern)
There is a 16 team cap this year.
To register your team (team is not considered registered until both steps 1 and 2 below are complete):
1. Go to www.uwhportal.com, sign in, and then navigate to the 20th Annual Battle @ Altitude event page. Once registration opens you will be able to click on "Register a team" and follow the prompts. The only information required to initially create a team is a team name and grade selection (both can be edited later). Any other team information and your roster members can also be added/edited later. Please send any questions regarding team creation and roster building to [email protected].
Complete/Correct team info/rosters includes:
- Team name provided
- Team skill grade selected
- Team logo submitted
- No open team invitations
- All your team’s players have cap numbers assigned (unique integers from 1 to 99).
- Players may also mark their number on their arm, but it must match their cap.
- Each player’s white and black caps must have the same number
- All your team’s players have completed their 2026 USOA Registrations AND linked their USOA SportsEngine account to their UWH Portal account.
- As a reminder, please do NOT create a new profile (either for USOA's SportsEngine or for the UWH Portal) if you have had one in the past. Multiple profiles can cause issues with team organizers inviting the wrong one and can disrupt the link between the 2 databases). Both sites have forgot-your-password features; please use that if you don't remember your password. If you need help identifying your UWH Portal username please reach out to [email protected]
This non-refundable deposit secures your team's spot and will count towards your team's entry fee, provided payment in full is made by the team-payment deadline (failure to pay in full may result in your team's spot being offered to a team on the waiting list). Once your deposit is paid and your team's spot is secured, you will be sent details on how to pay the remainder of your entry fee via check, Paypal, or Transferwise.
*Total Entry Fee cost: $1700 per team. Your $100 registration fee counts towards this total. Late fees may be added - see below.
Ref Opt-Out Cost: $300 = your team can opt-out of Player Referee (Minnesota Rule) referee responsibilities entirely
- due to the increased cost and reduced number of opt-outs, your team is NOT required to provide 2 arranged/paid refs this year - just pay the $300 and, assuming you get one of the 6 opt-out spots, your team will have no reffing responsibilities
HOW TO PAY:
PayPal (preferred): [email protected]
Please send as friends/family transfer. As always, if you incur PayPal fees, we will ask you to cover them. Also, please indicate in your Paypal memo:
- What team you are registering

Team Payment Deadline: Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:59pm, MST
To meet either deadline, your team must be at least created on https://uwhportal.com and your team’s event fee must be received in full. Teams that have not paid their event fee in full by the Late deadline will not be accepted and their deposit will be forfeit.
Roster Completion Deadline: Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:59pm, MST
*Teams with incomplete/incorrect team info/rosters by the Team & Roster submission deadline will incur a $20 fine for each piece of missing/incorrect information (must be paid before your team plays its first game). Exceptions for emergency roster replacements can be made on a case-by-case basis.
Reffing
This year we are planning to again follow the Tri-Referee Rotation. This means Dedicated Referees (Level II or above) in the water and on deck for every game! As before, the other reffing slots will be staffed either by qualified Arranged Referees or Player Referees (Minnesota Rule) with some timing help by our fantastic volunteers. If you are interested in being a Dedicated Referee (travel and lodging expenses covered + per game stipend) please fill out the Dedicated Referee Interest Form by November 14, 2025.
For an additional $300 fee, your team can opt-out of Player Referee (Minnesota Rule) referee responsibilities entirely (see above).

Tournament Management
Again this year, we are happy to feature the complete Atlantis Sports time/score management system to provide up-to-date integration with UWHPortal.com.
USOA
All standard USOA-sanctioned tournament rules will apply. All 2026 USOA dues and waivers should be taken care of through the link below prior to your arrival in Denver. We ask that you please link your UWHPortal profile to USOA to make this verification easier on us. Please contact [email protected] for any registration or linking questions. The 2026 USOA waiver will be available for download from the USA UWH Resources page through https://www.underwater-society.org/page/show/4284471-usoa-registration.
